"Super Bass" is a song from the introductory album “Pink Friday” from Nicki Minaj, the disreputably bawdy female rapper. The song narrates a fairly clear-cut story about what Minaj thinks "fly" in a man. Although she refers to some trivial criteria and also makes it appear as if promoting drugs would be acceptable, she doesn't make use of much profanity or explicit imagery make her point. This is a different approach from her characteristically open style.
"Super Bass" characterizes Minaj's characteristic, hyperactive rap approach, except with a lighter, more melodious hook that makes the song seem more contented than her previous tracks. Silky guest singing from Ester Dean adds to the song’s good-times call.
