Although electronic commerce is a powerful tool for business expansion and development due to its borderless approach and time and delivery convenience, however growth has been slower than as predicted, although encouraging. There must be a number of reasons behind the phenomenon. A lot of researches have been carried out on investigating the customer perceptions towards online shopping. The researchers concluded that security and risk are the two most significant consumer concerns in online shopping and online purchase rate has been held back by these two factors (Irakleous et al., 2002).
