It produced as their first single and lead single from their album, which was released in 2011 named Up All Night. What makes you beautiful was written by Rami Yacoub, Carl Falk and Savan Kotecha and produced by Yacoub and Falk. Syco records released the album for the first time in 2011. The group felt comforted to have a song that they were pleased to release for their first single when left recording the song at Cosmos Studios and Kinglet Studios in Stockholm. The single is actually an up tempo record that includes teen pop genre as well as power pop and pop rock.
